Wrapped up for Christmas
I’m one of those sick people who gets Christmas stuff ready well in advance. I have a crazy system, which has my Christmas shopping done at the beginning of October and my wrapping all done by Thanksgiving. It’s madness, BUT! it allows me to enjoy the holiday season without the craziness of crowds and traffic and snow. So that’s more than you needed to know about me. I also like to have a lot of personal touches in my gift-wrapping. I make pretty bows, top them with little pine cones and whatnots that I’ve picked up at craft stores’ after-Christmas clearance sales. Carrying that personalization one step further, I’ve got some handmade gift taggies all ready to go for my husband and the kidlets.
I made these little pockets out of patterned paper, topped them with coordinating stickers and diecuts and chipboard sentiments and then tucked a little piece of ribbon in to each one to give it some elegance and some texture. This is great for scrap ribbon too – so think about that when you are unwrapping Christmas gifts this year 😉
For my daughter I chose this bright, sparkly gold wired ribbon with extra gold lines running through it.
For my son I have used this great avocado green wired ribbon with silver stripes.
For my husband I have use this fun metallic silver ribbon.
I punched a hole in to the top of each pocket and threaded through some baker’s twine so now we’re all set to tie on to the package!
