Teacher Appreciation Gift: Handmade Frame
The first full week in May is National Teacher Appreciation Week, and the end of the school year is shortly after, so it’s time to get busy on those teacher gifts!
I’ve got a fun frame that makes a pretty gift!
First gather your supplies. I picked up the ready-to-finish frame at the local Ben Franklin store. Some school-themed Graphic 45 paper with coordinating ribbon & mod-podge will also be used.
I simply mod podge the paper in place & set it aside to dry.
Once dry, I cut the window out of the frame side and grabbed my 3/8” black grosgrain to trim the outside of the frame.
I used 1/8” black velvet to trim the inside of the window part of the frame.
Because I was careful as I trimmed the paper from the window I could use it to fill the window since the velvet hid the edge under the glass. I stamped it with a ‘teacher’ sentiment & it was ready to gift!
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you’ve been inspired!
