Simple Necklace

Here’s a simple way to update a pendant you may already have!  The satin cord necklace is very popular now, and I’m going to show you how easy it is to make with May Arts satin string (SY10)

Here are the supplies you will need:

You’ll need the length of satin string you want your necklace to be,  a pendant, needle nose pliers, jump rings, glossy accents (or any adhesive that dries clear) crimp end connectors, and metal clasps.  You can see from the pic those are not expensive items!

The next step will be applying a small amount of glossy accents to the crimp end connectors and then placing the satin string into the connector.

Here’s where the needle nose pliers come in- use them to crimp the connectors closed!

Repeat to the other end of the string.  Then you simply attach the jump ring to both the clasp & the connectors & close the ring with the pliers.

SO easy, right?

This is a great way to update your pendants, or make some thoughtful gifts!

Thanks so much for stopping by the May Arts blog- hope you’re inspired!

This is such a great idea! My daughter loves to make necklaces with old keys and other bits and pieces, and this would be perfect for her.
