Hi all. Today I am sharing another easy peasy project. This time we’ll go with customizing your ribbon. If you just started playing with ribbons or if you already have tons ribbons, this is a trick to expand your option.
For my project, I used May Arts organic cotton stripe 385-58-10. This is what it looks like originally.
And here’s my card using this ribbon.
Notice anything? Now my ribbon has blue and green lines. All you need to do this are a ruler and some markers. I simply draw a few lines using my Copic marker and Prismacolor markers on the ribbon. With this trick, you can enhance your ribbons to any color combo you want.
You can also adjust the thickness of your lines by using different marker tip. For my thick blue lines I used the wide tip of Copic marker and for the thin line I used the fine tip of Prismacolor markers. If you’re not sure what combo you’d like to use, just draw a small piece of ribbon first, that way you don’t waste a whole length of ribbon.
Hope you can use this tip to help expand your ribbon colors collection. Have a great day everyone!
