Day 3 of May Arts / Creative Imaginations Blog Week!

Paper Bag Memory Book

Welcome to May Arts/Creative Imaginations Blog Week!   The weather is warming up, the kids are on summer break and the sandy shores and warm waters are calling.  Whether your summer vacation is at the lake or the beach, saving those precious summer memories is fun when you combine some creativity with the amazing assortment of fun beach themed papers and embellishments from Creative Imaginations and May Arts Ribbon.

Here are your supplies:

PR03 – 5/8” Textured Lines (that’s the gorgeous blue green bow!)

PR01 – 5/8” Textured Lines (tied on the spline)

DA25 – 3/16” String Loop

 SP10 – Burlap Cord

SM10 – Burlap String

  • Chipboard –4.25” x 7.25” (2 pieces for the cover)
  • 2 large eyelets for cover
  • Scor-Tape or other double sided tape
  • Embellishments – sewing machine, glitter, glitter pen,  anchor charm, magic mesh, ,small brads, clear dots, vellum word stickers, Crop-a-dile, Bind-it -all

Instructions:

1.       Cut Cardstock 4.25” x 7. 25”.   Cover the chipboard on both sides using Scor-Tape to adhere.

2.       Adhere Scor-Tape to Kraft bags and cover both sides with chosen paper.

3.       Cut leftover paper into 4” x 4.25” pieces to use as photo mats or journaling pages.

4.       After all paper bags are covered, punch the covers and pages with the Bind –it-all.  Punching first allows you to embellish without worrying about damaging your machine or your embellishments.

5.       Embellish cover and pages as desired.

6.       Bind book. Attach eyelets in cover with Crop-a –Dile or other eyelet tool.

This project is easy enough your little ones can help choose and apply the stickers.  Great summer memories thanks to Creative Imaginations and May Arts Ribbon!
