Operation Write Home: World Cardmaking Blog Hop! {and a giveaway}

WCDstart

May Arts Ribbon is proud to support our nation’s deployed heroes through Operation Write Home®! This organization has sent over one million cards overseas so our service members can keep in touch with their loved ones while they’re away.  I hope you enjoy all the projects we’re sharing on our blog – and take some time to check out OWH’s blog and all the others participating, starting at the top of the hop. You’ll be inspired!

Charlene Driggs:

Thank You Card

Thank You

I’m thankful to the men and women of the US Military who protect and defend us and our Constitution each and every day.  Freedom is not free; it has been bought with a price.  I pray for the safety of our military as they serve and their families as they offer love and support.

Gini Williams Cagle:

Thank You Card

Supporting Operation Write Home is a small way to give back to our troops, who give everything to protect our freedom.  I am proud of our troops and know they deserve to have beautiful cards to send to their loved ones.

Jen Shears:

Thank You Card

Thank You Card

So excited to be a part of the Operation Write Home World Card Making Day Hop! (Now that's a title!!)

I've created 2 thank you cards today- the bonus of using a die AND the negative image!

I'm grateful everyday that I call this country home; I don't take for granted that it is not without sacrifice. To all those that keep this country great, I say THANK YOU! I pray for the safe return of each of you!

Jessica Kephart:

Thank You Card

I served on Active Duty in the United States Coast Guard for 7 years! I am very proud of our Service Men and Women and this is a VERY small way to show my appreciation for what they do EVERYDAY! I know first hand the sacrifices that they, and their families, have to make daily!

Latrice Murphy:

Thank You Card

Over the years I've become friends with lots of crafty military moms and I've learned that they too sacrifice a lot when their husbands are away. I not only support the troops for being so brave and protecting our country, but their families who are "behind the scenes" truly holding it all together. They inspire me and keep me humble when I think things are going bad. Thank you all for what you do.

Karen Baker:

Thank You Card

Thank you to all the service men and women fighting to keep me and my family safe and free. My boys and I appreciate your time and talent!

Rhea Weigand:

Thank You Card

As an army mom, and a fellow American I thank you for your selfless dedication to protecting us in what what we stand for.   You put yourself in harms way to accomplish the common goal of freedom .   Your heartfelt courage makes me proud to be an American!

DeeDee Catron:

Thank You Card

I support the troops through OWH, because it's a way for me to show my gratitude in a unique, happy way. It gives me an outlet to express all I'm thankful for from the brave men and women who work hard to protect our country while providing them an much needed resource to make their every days a little lighter and brighter.

Courtney Lee:

Thank You Card

So Operation Write Home is close to my heart. It is SO important to hear from loved ones while they are deployed and if I can make that a little easier for one of our heroes, I know their families will appreciate it!

Shellye McDaniel:

Thank You Card

Making a handmade card or cards for Operation Write Home is a small, but meaningful way to support troops who are overseas and away from their families.  It is an honor to create something that represents an appreciation of their service and sacrifice.

Jenifer Cowles:

Thank You Card

I would love to send my thanks to everyone serving and making the world a better place.  I hope that our cards help get you through some of the hard times. Thank You for all you do 🙂

Lalo IK:

Thank You Card

A handmade card is truly one of a kind and something extra special.  Today on "World Card Making Day" we want to send a big thank-you to all the awesome people doing amazing things in supporting "Operation Write Home".  OWH does amazing work so spend some time today and make a card for a soldier to give.  Here's my card with an extra special May Arts Ribbon sparkly touch.

Emily Lanham:

Absolutely LOVE the cards. It has inspired me to have a card making party for Operation Write Home.. I did something similar when my uncle got to take the WWII trip to Washington DC. On the flight back to Chicago they had a ‘mail call’ and passed out cards and letters the family and friends had sent.
