Do you have a Mickey Mouse lover in your life? 🙂 Hadley’s teacher LOVES all things Mickey, so I thought I’d build on that with a fun gift.
For supplies I used a frame from the craft store, a Mickey themed paper, mod podge and May Arts metallic velvet. I also happen to have some fun cardstock dies that some friends brought us back from their trip to the magic kingdom, so we’ll use those later.
Pour your mod podge on & spread!
Attach your cardstock & set aside to dry (I put a heavy book on mine- this pattern paper was more light weight than I usually use for frames….)
Once it’s dry, trim the excess paper
I go back & forth on sealing the top of my frames. Because this paper didn’t adhere as perfectly as I’d like I did mod-podge the top so that I could try to smooth out the final product.
While I was waiting for the mod podge to dry, I strung red burlap/string through 3 of my dies, and attached them to the brad with some aleene’s glue.
Once the frame was dry I used Aleene’s glue on the border to attach my gorgeous metallic velvet ribbon.
I used pop dots to attach the Mickey dies & ‘charms’ to the front of the glass.
And here’s the finished project:
Hard to get a great pic of the glitter today, but trust me, it looks FAB! 🙂
Thanks for your time- I hope you’ve been inspired!
