I send handmade cards all the time…but a handwritten letter….??? Not sure! I guess it would be when I sent my husband a letter when we were dating. We met and I left for 3 months–so I would write weekly. This was almost 6 years ago! WOW! That is a long time ago: ) THANKS for the chance to win! sbmmhoover at yahoo dot com

It’s been way over a year, wrote a short note on paper and slipped it into a handmade card for my aunt. I really need to do that once every couple of weeks at the very least. Thanks for the reminder and another great giveaway.

Last week I sent a letter inside a card I bedecked with May Arts ribbon. It was to a friend who had lost her mom, and I always try to personalize those sentiments with a handwritten letter of condolence.

Wow, am I embarassed, i think the last letter I wrote was a goodbye and thankyou letter to my Mom when she was dying from cancer, I never stop to think about it, I send lots of cards, but not really letters any more, everything is email. Anyway, I was in NJ and Mom in Florida and had been back and forth so many times, , when I was really missing her towards the end, I wanted to thank her for being such a great Mom and sat and wrote to her about all my good and some bad memoreis and just thanked her for being the best Mom there could be, and the hospice nurse read it to her, and they said she cryed and love it, she acutally died about 3 days later, so I guess I have to write more letters!!

    Thanks for the reminder Bethney

I think the last letter I handwrote was to my mum before she passed she lived 3 1/2 hours away and even though I spoke to her on the phone every week at least once I felt I needed/wanted to let her know how much she meant in my life -she was vision impaired so I wrote large writing but I knew either her next door neighbour or my eldest sister who lived reasonably near would read it for her. I am glad I wrote because she died three weeks later she was 90 years old – that was four years ago. Thanks for the chance to win some yummy ribbon and LYB products and for bringing back happy memories

The last time that I sent a hand written letter is when I sent a few pair of sock to The Tsunami victims in Japan. I made a card and wrote a note inside. Then I sent that inside a larger envelope with a few pair of socks to an organization called “socks for Japan”. They have translators who translated my message and sent the socks off to someone in need.

I always send hand written letters to my aunts back in the mid-west! Even though two of them have email, I feel it more personal, with the older generation especially, to write them a nice long note in with an occasional card! They always thank me for it so I know it is appreciated.

The last time I sent a hand written letter was to an old high school friend who lives out of state. I heard through other friends that she wasn’t doing too well health-wise and needed a “pick me up”. Her not having access to a computer made me finally sit down and pick up a pen. It was a great feeling and it was less than 10 days before I got a response! What a great mail day that was!
