Make Invitations & Placecards – with no scraps!

As we get nearer to the holiday season – does anyone else get that panicked feeling about everything that needs to be done? The shopping, the wrapping, the cooking – and getting all ready for those big dinner parties!

I’ve got a little tip for you today that’ll make you the superwoman you want to be. Or at least you can look like it! Watch the video to see how I made matching invitations and placecards – without leaving paper scraps behind! And for those who like kitties…let me introduce you to my craft helper, Punch (short for Punchinello)!

Now take a big deep breath before the holidays hit…and figure out one or two things you can do ahead – like placecards – that’ll ease your holiday panic.  Leave a comment and let me know what YOU do to “appear” like SuperWoman during all the crazy holiday preparations!

I love the idea of using up my scraps. I do that whenever possible to get the most for my supplies money, and to keep the volume of scraps down to a low roar…. I love what you made with your scraps. It is just a natural since you only need small amounts per item.

Love the cutting diagram and no scraps!  I fail miserably at being superwoman but my family is very forgiving.

Hello Punch!  I've missed seeing you at Operation Write Home.  Sandy – great video and I'm thinking of so many variations.  You never fail to spark creativity.

LOVE Sandy's videos, she is so clever and shares knowledge so freely.  Thank you Sandy!  I wish I could say I had something I did that made me look like Superwoman, but we don't really host Thanksgiving parties, but I do have some family here for Christmas, so I think I will try place settings then 🙂

Hi Sandy, Loved the video and I pinned the template. It will be great to use on OWH cards with a little tweaking of the place card idea! My plan this holiday season is to give up on being superwoman and enlist help whereever I can get it!

This is great, Sandy! I'm afraid I don't ever look like a superwoman, but I'm trying to have fun! 🙂

    Sandy,
You always have the best videos and the greatest ideas.  I try to focus on making the things I am of at and buying the things I am not good with.  This helps me stay sane and makes everyone around me happier too!

Love your ideas–can't wait to try this hopefully for Christmas as I'm running behind on Thanksgiving with houseguests here from your fair state of WA!  My timesaving holiday tip is to shop year-round, during sales and when I'm less stressed.  Then I can concentrate on wrapping them beautifully and getting them shipped out on time, and focus on Jesus' birth–the reason for the season!

Great video!  I always like to get as much as possible out of one piece of paper.  This is just great.  To be superwoman?  I guess getting things made and bought early is my biggest help.  Thanks for this wonderful video!

Such creative cards, Sandy.  I also "see" turkey feathers in the leaves.  🙂 One of my daughters is hosting Thanksgiving this year so SHE gets to be the super woman.  Thanks for all your inspiration.  Glenda F
