Layout & Card
Welcome to Day 2 of May Arts / Little Yellow Bicycle Blog Week!
Layout & Card
And a card for you. Little Yellow Bicycle is by far one of my favorite companies. The people there are fabulous and their products are always at the top of my shopping list. Today I’m using their Elizabeth Park collection to create both a layout and a card using my left over paper and embellishments. Here is my Layout first. The card will follow with a short video on how I create it.
On this layout I used the “B” sides of the patterned paper for a more subtle pattern. I do this often for pages about my son. The “B” sides tend to be more boy/girl friendly. I love that with this line you can use it for both boys and girl pages. This makes me want to buy even more of it of course! I started with a pattern as my base and topped it with a second pattern. My photos are matte in both yellow and white to add more color. There is some stitching added and my title is a large title created from puffy letter stickers.
Here are a few detailed shots of the layout. For my journaling I layered a couple of the LYB tags under the top edge of my photo matte. The small notebook piece was run through the printer using the technique I talk about in the video below. A few epoxy stickers and a Tim Holtz mini paper clip finish off this layout. Oh….and let’s not forget about the May Art burlap string. This is my most used product from them. Love love love it!
Next up is a quick card.
Here is a video sharing with you how I created my “left overs” card. ENJOY!
Thanks for stopping by today. Stay tuned for even more May Arts and Little Yellow Bicycle goodness!
