Holly Jolly Echo Park!
Day 2 of May Arts / Echo Park Paper Blog Week!
That’s the name of the collection I was given to work with from Echo Park– and it was SO FUN! The patterns are really great & the colors were right up my alley! So here’s what I put together!
I made this winter card with a sweet snowman sticker! I started by distressing a panel of the Dash Away paper & adhering to my card base. I folded the white 1/5” satin pleats in half & machine sewed them haphazardly. The snowman & the sentiment are both from the Elements sticker sheet. A bow made from ¼” solid/iridescent ribbon topped with another sticker finishes it off!
I also made a banner! I wanted to make one that could be kept up through winter, so here’s what I created!
I attached 3 different patterns to chipboard (otherwise known as cereal boxes). I then made a medallion center for each panel; I used the fiskars border punch, my Scor-pal, and applied glitter to the edges (Martha Stewart glitter). I used velvet ric rac at the top & bottom, and sewed teal twill (what a great match!) along the top. I love the way the 5/8” sheer ruffle between the panels looks! I punched snowflakes from vellum & topped them with the element stickers!
Here’s a peek at each panel:
Thank you Echo Park for such a fun collection to work with! I can’t wait to use more of the collection! And thank you for your time! I hope you’ve been inspired!
