Glue Arts Valentine!

Glue Arts Valentine!

Welcome to Day 1 of the Glue Arts blog swap!   With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I thought I’d put my Glue Arts & May Arts together for a fun Valentine!

I’ll show you how easy it is to make that pretty rolled embellishment!  Grab your supplies – the ribbons I used are:

Some more supplies:

I used a scalloped punch & red cardstock.  You’ll also want your Glue Arts ribbon adhesive!  You can see I covered one side of my punched shape.

Next, twist your ribbon & start adhering in the middle.

Keep twisting your ribbon as you make larger circles on your punched shape.  Once the entire shape is covered, apply a bit more ribbon adhesive to the back to secure the end.

Add a little bling to the center (Bazzill Clear Jewels)

At this point you have a fun embellishment to use on anything!  I decided to make a card, so I pulled out my cardstock, stamped a flourish & applied more of the ribbon adhesive.

I wrapped my satin pleats (that have been tea stained) around the card base & it is completely secured!  I tied some burlap string around the center too.  Using some Glue Arts Raise’n’s I popped up my tag that had been stamped.

To secure the embellishment I used Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive squares on the back.

For a little more oomph on my tag, I pulled some sheer looped trim through the hole & tied it with the burlap string also.  Here it is all together:

Thank you, Glue Arts, for another great swap!

Thanks for stopping by- I hope you’ve been inspired!  J
