Welcome to Day 2 of May Arts / Bella Blvd Blog Week!

Fun Flower Tags

Hello there May Arts fans! Lexi here to show you how to make some fun flower embellishments out of ribbon using new May Arts ribbon and the Hello Beautiful line from Bella Blvd!

It seems I am always looking for a last minute card or tag to accompany a gift. Once I saw this bright line from Bella Blvd I thought it would be perfect for some tags!

I started off with a few shipping tags. I cut a 4 inch tag with my Slice out of the patterned paper and layered on top to add some color. Notice there is “shipping tag” color still left. We'll cover it up 😉

I used my tiny attacher to staple some of the Blooms A Bella along the bottom. Just something different and fun. Looked kinda like a tutu to me 😉

The strips of paper on the Borders N' Blocks and sticker borders on the Alpha + Bits sheet were perfect for covering up the rest of the shipping tag.

To make the funky flowers I simply took about a 4-5 inch piece of ribbon, folded it into a loop and stapled on the back of a punched circle.

Repeat with a coordinating ribbon. Elements from the patterned paper and Alpha + Bits cardstock sticker sheet were used for the center of the embellishments.

This thank you tag uses the new 385-58-34 organic stripe ribbon paired with 391-58-31 grey plaid. And can I just repeat…GREY PLAID! Love it. It's tied with SM09.

This flower is a bit different in that the 385-58-46 organic green stripe is looped, but the 391-58-27 yellow plaid is just cut straight across. SM03 is wrapped around the sentiment and SM09 at the top.

This tag might be my favorite out of the bunch..probably because I love cupcakes! The flower here uses 391-58-27 and 385-58-10. I used dimensional foam adhesive for the cupcake center to stand out.  SM17 wraps the tag top.

I plan to make some more of these ribbon embellishments for future cards and layouts. How fun! Thanks Bella Blvd for letting me play!

Have a great day and if you have any questions let me know!
