DIY Bunk Bed Curtains

DIY Bunk Bed Curtains

Welcome to the May Arts blog today! I’ve got some super cute curtains to share that I recently added to our daughter’s bunk bed!

I started out using some really fun fabric, and then upped the fab with the new red Faux canvas/lightweight and ivory crochet trim (one of my new favorites!)

First, I decided on placement of the red faux canvas ribbon.

Then I added the crochet & pinned them both in place.

I machine stitched them in place- one line down the red, and one down the crochet (shown below).

I used a tension rod to hang them, and tied them back with some red 3/8” grosgrain.

      Hi Miriam!
I would try hanging curtain rods from the ceiling! I think that would work really well. Another option would be to use pvc pipe- if you could find a curtain rod holder that would support the pvc that would be great- or you could try to fashion your own support… Good luck- be sure to share your result! 🙂

What a cute idea!  When I was a kid, my brothers had bunk beds and we used to hang a blanket like this all the time to make a fort, what a great idea to make these curtains!
