DIY Children’s Hanukkah Basket

Welcome back to the May Arts blog.  It’s time for all the hustle and bustle of baking, shopping, wrapping and gifting!

We have friends who celebrate Hanukkah, the Jewish celebration of the Festival of Lights which lasts for 8 days.  This year, Hanukkah falls on Thanksgiving.

I asked my friend what kind of gifts would be appropriate to bring as a gift for the children when invited to dinner during Hanukkah.  She suggested a gift basket filled with some fun things like coloring books, crayons, dreidels, chocolate coins, and colorful candles for a Menorah.

The traditional colors of Hanukkah are blue and silver so choosing ribbon from May Arts Ribbon was easy.  There are so many beautiful choices!

Hanukkah Gift Basket

I found this silver basket at my discount home décor store for about $7 then I wove gorgeous May Arts Double Sided Satin Ribbon through the holes to bring out the blue and silver theme.  I secured the ribbon inside the basket with tape.  A big beautiful May Arts 4 loop bow and it was finished!

Fun gifts for the kids and a beautiful housewarming gift for Mom.

Thanks for joining us on the May Arts Ribbon Blog and to our Jewish friends, Happy Hanukkah from May Arts!
