Chewy Caramel Popcorn Gifts

Day 4 of May Arts / Lawn Fawn Blog Week!

The bright lights flash before your eyes as ringing bells from the games inundate your ears. The plethora of sweet and salty smells waive through the air and as soon as the first bite of caramel corn touches your tongue, you know you’re going to have the best of times at the fair. May Arts has teamed up with Lawn Fawn this week and I’ve got three simple and stylish ways to dress up handmade treats to show you! Just a few supplies and some home-made ooey gooey and totally delicious caramel corn (recipe found at Make It and Love It.) is all it takes for this project.

First, I’ll show you a cute mini popcorn holder.

You’ll need:

  • ~1 foot each May Arts Burlap String in Natural and Pink (SM10, SM17)
  • ~1 foot May Arts Faux Suede/Ruffle Edge Ribbon in White (NV01)
  • Lawn Fawn’s Admit One Stamp Set
  • Mini Popcorn Box Template (by Melstampz)
  • Ink
  • Cardstock
  • White Pen
  • Spray Mists
  • Scor-Tape
  • Glue Adhesive

After you’ve printed the template onto cardstock, trim and score. Assemble the box using heavy-duty double-sided adhesive.

Adhere ruffle trim ribbon with liquid adhesive so only the top portion of the ruffle is showing. Allow the adhesive to dry, and then decorate your box! I chose to lightly mist the bottom of the box and then wrap it with a mix of burlap string. I hung tickets as tags that can be personalized for the recipient. Fill you popcorn box with a bag full of caramel corn. This would be perfect for birthday party favors with a carnival theme or even a movie theme!

The caramel is a perfect gift to give in bulk as well! I played off the cotton candy image on this packaging.

For this option, you’ll need:

  • ~I foot May Arts Fuzzy Pom Poms Wired in Pink (346-22)
  • ~8 in. May Arts Burlap String, Natural (SM10)
  • Lawn Fawn’s Admit One Stamp Set
  • Ink
  • Cardstock
  • Adhesive
  • White Pen
  • Scalloped Die Cut
  • Circle Punch

Putting together this tag is so simple! Assemble the tag and stamp the images and sentiment. Fussy cut the cotton candy image and wrap with the pom pom trim. Wrap the jar with pom pom trim as well and then tie the tag to it.

The last packaging option offers a bit more homespun and rustic feel. Here I’ve colored some May Arts classy Silk Ribbon in White (SK01) with a copic marker, stamped the ribbon image from Lawn Fawn’s Admit One stamp set and fussy cut each piece. The tag is assembled with the same supplies as the Cotton Candy Tag, I just used a different color palette. After filling a washed plastic fruit container with goodies, I adhered May Art’s Chenille/Center Dot Ribbon in Brown (WP32) around the top edge and tied on the tag with May Art’s Natural Burlap String (SM10)!
