Cards Galore & a Gift!

Day 3 of May Arts / Tattered Angels Blog Week

Cards Galore & a Gift!

Jen here and you may guess, by the number of projects I’ve done, that I’m a bit giddy about having a swap with Tattered Angels!! I love all the colors & the way it adds so much to any project!

So let’s get to it- I used the ivory webbed weave ribbon as a mask on some cardstock.

Using the Mallard glimmer mist gave me a very cool result!

I thought it had the look of water, so I stamped a sailboat (PTI) and finished the top with some burlap string. (I used a few pieces, and even braided a bit to give it the look of boat line).

And by using the ribbon as a mask, it was dyed beautifully, so it too became a card. Some 1.25” silk finishes it off perfectly. (Sentiment PTI)

I used the same masking technique with the 1.5” wired net ribbon and Calypso chalkboard mist.

Navy sheer ruffle edge ribbon , wired metallic silver ribbon, and a simple sentiment (PTI) finish this card.

Next up, a simple gift! I used the glimmer glam glitter paint in jolly old elf on a flameless candle. I did sand the surface lightly, and applied several coats. (The string is my reference for how high I wanted the glitter to go.)

I used ribbon adhesive from Glue Arts to secure the ribbon.

I added red sheer box pleat ribbon and white curly, sparkling ribbon to finish it off!

One more card for you! I die cut gardening gloves & applied plumeria glimmer glaze. This is a fun product- it has a brush like nail polish attached to the lid, so it’s very easy to brush onto your project. I also spattered my card base with it.

You can see that I embellished my gloves with lace. I cannot tell you how much I love the result!!!

I layered several ribbons: ¾” lace, ½” solid/wrinkled ribbon, and the 3/16” solid/checked pink ribbon along the top. (All stamps & die are PTI)

Last up, I used this stencil from

I misted a canvas with Wheatfields glimmer mist and allowed it to dry. I then placed my stencil over the canvas & misted with Mallard mainly and then lightly with Calypso. When they dried I used the stencil to outline the birds with a micron pen.  The brown burlap string provided the ‘wire’.

So I think you can tell how much I enjoyed this swap!! Thank you for your time, and thank you Tattered Angels for the wonderful products to play with!

I hope you’ve been inspired!
