Boutique Jammies

I thought I would share with you a quick way to make handmade garments look like clothing you would find at a high end boutique.  You can achieve this very easily with just a few pretty notions or trims.

My Daughter needed some cooler summer jammies.  I wanted them to be simple but cute.  I just used a pattern that I had in my stash and made some simple alterations.  I made the pants into shorts and added ruffles to the bottoms.

I was so excited when May Arts came out with some beautiful flat lace.  It is so hard to find lace that is small and not gathered.  I used 390-38-09, I added the lace to all of the ruffles and to the sleeve caps.

It turned my simple jammies into some very cute boutique quality summer jammies.  Don’t be afraid to add your own twist to simple store bought patterns.  I would love to see what you come up with.
