May Arts Ribbon Blog

Welcome back to the May Arts blog!  Halloween will be here before we know it and that means it’s time to start crafting some treats for our little tricksters.

I used some fun May Arts Ribbons and Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze and Glitter Paint to give this little gift box an extra bit of sparkle and shine.

May Arts Ribbon – Satin Cut-outs Ghosts –EX01, Grosgrain Stripe – BK39

Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze – Wicked

Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam Glitter Paint Hammered Copper

Cardstock and box die – Papertrey Ink

Designer Paper – American Crafts Boo!

Stamps – Rubbernecker Stamps – Dragon Boy

Ink – Memento Black, Copic Markers

Other – Spellbinders Circle dies, White gel pen, foam tape, sewing machine, Scor-Tape, Glue Dots

1.     Cut out the box.  Cut the designer paper to fit the box front and back.    Paint the green faces on the designer paper with Tattered Angels Wicked Glimmer Glaze.   Attach the paper to the box template, and sew around the edges with the sewing machine.   Use the white gel pen to add dots to both sides of the box template.  Assemble the box.

2.     Stamp and color the Dragon Boy image.  Cut out with scissors.  Paint the costume with Tattered Angels Wicked Glimmer Glaze and the treat bag and orange horns with Tattered Angels Hammered Copper Glitter paint.   Die cut the circles, adhere together then add dots with white gel pen.   Attach the image to the circle die cut with foam tape.   See how he shimmers and shines?

3.      Attach the image circle to the box using Scor-Tape.  Attach the May Arts Satin Cut out Ghosts with Glue Dots.  Fill the box with treats, then tie off with May Arts Ribbon Grosgrain Stripe.

A fun treat for any little trickster!
