Birthday Banner Package

Day 2 of May Arts / Little Yellow Bicycle Blog Week!

Birthday Banner Package

How exciting to be writing up this little project while the sun is shining and the birds are singing! Seems quite appropriate with the happy combination of May Arts and Little Yellow Bicycle!

Lately I am noticing I buy plain brown or kraft colored packaging and then use my ribbon and paper stash to embellish when wrapping a gift for a friend…and yes I am singing “brown paper packages tied up with string..” as I do 😉  Here's a fun, easy packaging option using only a few items…

*May Arts ribbon: 391-58-27, 391-58-31, 385-58-17 and SM09. These ribbons are perfect  in color and texture for the Elizabeth Park collection.

*Little Yellow Bicycle: Elizabeth Park Bloom Bands paper, Paper Flower Kit, Paper Doilies

*scissors and stapler-I used the tiny attacher.

These paper doilies are just too cute..and did you know you can type on them? Since this gift was for a birthday I typed up my little greeting that way.

The paper flower kit comes with lots of just pick and choose the flower colors and combo of your choice! Love that the accordian strips are scored for easy folding.

I will throw a butterfly whenever I can on a project and these in the strip of Bloom Bands paper fit nicely with this Martha Stewart punch.

Banners and pendants are everywhere lately so I decided to cut my paper and ribbon in such a way. I paid no mind to the length just cut the little triangles at the bottom and arranged how I wanted it to look on the SM09. I didn't measure the string either, but make sure it is long enough to wrap around your package a few times and tie a bow.

The strips of paper and ribbon could be sewn on, or glued, but I chose to use my tiny attacher. I just like how those mini staples look.

And a close up. So cute all together!

Wrap your little banner around your box and finish with a big bow. Looks perfect for gift of those times the packaging almost looks too pretty to open.

Almost 😉

So there you are! Stock up on some plain packaging and let your creativity do the talking, while using some May Arts Ribbon and Little Yellow Bicycle goodies!  Thanks Little Yellow Bicycle for letting me play along! Have a great day and see you next time!
