Best of The Ribbonistas Week – Day 3!
Welcome to Day 3 of The Best of the Ribbonistas Week! If you are just joining us, we are highlighting the work of the May Arts Ribbonistas over the past year. This is a great chance to review some of the best projects we've had from this team and maybe even find a few you missed the first time around. So, let's be sure to show these ladies some love as the 2012-2013 design team winds down to an end.
If you missed any of the days this week, be sure to check them out too!
We have another 3 very fabulous ladies to celebrate today, so let's get started!
Spring Challenge Canvas– This was a little mini canvas that I created for the Spring Craft Challenge. I loved the ribbon assortment for this one. The colors meshed really well and worked out perfectly for the project that I had in mind.
Valentine Mini Album– I created this mini album for CHA-W and it was displayed in the May Arts booth. I adore mini albums that are overloaded with yummy ribbons. That was the look that I tried to achieve here, and what better ribbon on a mini than May Arts!
Clothespin Flowers- These little flowers were one of my favorite May Arts projects. I used them on my beach themed Christmas tree, but they are also perfect as an embellishment or an addition to some gift wrap.
This card truly sums up what I love about May Arts ribbon, a little goes a long way to set the tone for a card, love this white on white look, I used May Arts sheer tinsel with a layer of May Arts velvet with satin edge to create this fun card.
Wine tags are one of my go-to projects, love the idea of creating a unique gift card holder (or maybe I just like the wine?). I love having them on hand in case I'm dashing off to a dinner party, a hostess gift, a birthday goodie, new home or a thank you present. This one was an inspiration project for the Spring Challenge and I discovered a huge love for the 4 inch burlap ribbon from this project.
Gini Williams Cagle
I have enjoyed serving on the May Arts Design Team so much – and have added ribbons to everything not moving ( and if my dog had stayed still long enough, I probably would have stuck a bow on him too!) So needless to say, I had a hard time narrowing the choices down.
The basket that I created for the final round submission for the DT is probably my favorite ribbon project ever. It was so fun creating a project not only embellished with ribbons, but also where the entire structure was created with them.
Another fun three dimensional project that I created was a Christmas time birdhouse. The May Arts Ribbon really gave this project the extra something to make it a treasured keepsake.
I've always been fascinated with antique ribbon work, and in this layout, I showed a modern use for a very Victorian ribbon weaving technique.
Finally, I chose this tag, because I love taking a small project and showing a new technique with ribbons.
Thanks so much to Bethney – the best Ribbon Lady ever, for letting me have so much fun this past year, playing with the most wonderful ribbons anywhere!
Now…of course there's a giveaway to go along with this very special week! On Friday, I will select one person to win 3 rolls of May Arts Ribbon – your choice! All you have to do to enter to win is post plenty of comments every day this week!
