Bella Board & Hello Cupcake!

Welcome to Day 3 of May Arts / Bella Blvd Blog Week!

What fun designs Bella Blvd has shared with us! I used a sheet of some of the most fun paper ever for a magnet board!  I’ll show you how!

First you’ll need to gather your supplies:

You’ll need a 12×12 frame (thank you 40% 0ff coupon, Michaels!), a 12×12 sheet of metal (My local craft store, Ben Franklin’s carries this), and an uber cute piece of Bella paper! You’ll simply put the paper under the glass, back it with the metal & put the frame back together.

Next you’ll need to punch some shapes- I used small spellbinder dies to cut two shapes- one from a coordinating paper (I used Bella’s ‘sky’s the limit’ paper) and one from chipboard (I think you all know that’s code for cereal box!).

Next pull out your adhesive & attach the paper to the chipboard- I used my trusty mod podge!

Now you’ll need some magnets – here’s the ones I used:

I hot glued them on to the back of the chipboard.

I used some of the great new May Arts 1/8” velvet to embellish by tying simple bows & hot gluing them to the front.

How fun is this list of happiness is….?

And here’s the finished project!

The great thing about this is that since the paper isn’t attached, you could easily change it seasonally!  What a fun gift too!

I also have a fun little card:

We say ‘hello, cupcake’ a lot around here! I used Bella’s ‘blue without you’ for the main panel, cut the yellow strip from ‘borders n’ blocks’, and the letters & the cupcake are stickers from the ‘alpha & bits’ sheet. I added the May Arts plaid ruffle by sticking it to the back of the cupcake sticker & using some extreme adhesive squares (by glue arts).

Thank you to Bella Blvd for the fun swap!! I hope you’ve been inspired!
