A Few Stampendeous Cards!

Don’t you love it when May Arts combines their gorgeous ribbons with fabulous companies like Stampendous? I’ve had a ball with these stamps! Here’s what I came up with:

I used the jumbo water lily stamp – and when they say jumbo, they aren’t kidding! This card is the standard 4.25” x 5.5”- and you can see that the image isn’t much smaller than that! ☺ I wrapped a piece of cardstock with 1.25” ivory silk ribbon. Since the ribbon is so wide I only needed to go around 4 times. I stamped the image with a chalk ink & set it aside to dry. As it dried it bled a bit & a beautiful watercolor look was achieved! I mounted it on coordinating cardstock & in no time had a lovely card!

Look how different the same image can look!

This time I heat embossed with pink powder on kraft cardstock. I used the ¼” silk ribbon in pink (one of my favorites!) to create lots of French knots. This is so simple, and all of those knots took less than a yard of silk! I inked the edges with the same pink I’d used to stamp the image. I mounted the panel on a kraft cardbase for a pretty tone on tone look.

For my last project I put the gorgeous bird frame to work!

I stamped it with versafine brown ink on cream cardstock. I used some blue inks & a waterpen to color inside of the frame. May Arts burlap string in brown & natural combined for a lovely detail to the nest, don’t you think? Some flat backed pears create the ‘eggs’.

For the card base I added Pink Paislee patterned paper & layered May Arts 1.5” satin pleats, 1.5” crochet, and 3/8” velvet/woven ribbon. The pleats & crochet I had tea-stained. I popped the focal image up with dimensional adhesive. I love how this turned out!

Thank you so much to Stampendous for a wonderful swap! Don’t forget to stop by their website to see all the amazing products they carry!
