Creating with Ribbon and Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and a giveaway – {Winner!}

Pretty Pink Posh will be having their very first blog hop this upcoming weekend.   So, when they contacted me to participate, I simply couldn’t resist sending some of their gorgeous sequins to the Ribbonistas to play with!   The hop officially opens on April 26th at 6am PST and ends April 28th at 11:55pm PST.  Now, unfortunately, April 26th also happens to be the same date as my wedding.  Naturally, this caused some minor scheduling difficulties.  But Pretty Pink Posh was kind enough to let us do our post the week before leading up to their hop.  Which brings us to today’s post!

I hope you enjoy all the projects below and that they inspire you to create with ribbon and sequins!

Charlene Driggs:

Crochet Flower Card

Every girl needs a little shiny bling in her life and Pretty Pink Posh sequins provided just the right amount of sparkle to offset the flower I crocheted using May Arts Burlap String (SM-17). A line of May Arts Jumbo Leaves (448-16) and a simple sentiment and I think this card is pretty, pink and posh!

'Happy Girls are the Prettiest' Canvas

I made this cute little canvas all around the quote. It’s one of my favorites and I thought this would be beautiful hanging in my craft room. No better way to dress it up than with some lovely ribbon from May Arts and beautiful sequins from Pretty Pink Posh! What a great combo!

Jenifer Cowles:

Reverse Applique Door Hanger

I wanted to create a little sewing project with my sequins, this is what I came up with.  A fun reverse applique door hanger.

Happy Birthday Card

Happy Birthday Card

It is always fun to find new ways to use ribbon, especially on a small base like a card! I dressed up some already beautiful May Arts Sheer Ribbon with the lovely Springtime Mix Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. It is so easy to do…I simply adhered wafer thin strips of adhesive to the top and bottom edge of the ruffled sheer ribbon, and before sticking to the card base, I dropped in a few sequins and let them mingle!

Latrice Murphy:

Hashtag Card

I had fun playing around with a Sizzix Die and Pretty Pink Posh sequins. I loved this color combination of mint and gold on this unique floral card. A couple of hashtag stamps and this card is done in minutes. Pretty Pink Posh offers such a great amount of sequins and other items. Get over there and shop!

'Thinking of You' Card

I am now positively over the moon with sequins!   Here I dotted the centers with Glass Effects Gel then filled with Magic Transparent to make tiny little bezels.  I have a feeling I will need them in every single color. 🙂

Strawberry Card

Strawberry Card

For my project I chose the Raspberry and Fresh Mint sequins.  When I put them together, my first thought was “strawberry”!  I cut staggering lengths of the Satin Heart ribbon and then hand-stitched one of the raspberry sequins where the hearts join.  Next, I made two loops from the Seafoam Dot ribbon and hand-stitched the mint sequins in between the dots.  I cut an oval from patterned paper, trimmed the back in a Mini Pom Pom ribbon and then layered on the strawberry pieces and the leaves.

Valerie Gee:

First Birthday Card

For this super sweet card for my niece’s first birthday, I experimented with some inlaid die cutting!  I used Lawn Fawn papers from the “Hello Sunshine” collection, and paired the super cheery paper with dies from both Lawn Fawn and Lifestyle Crafts.  The pink pompom ribbon at the top and one of the layered stars were accented with clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins for the final glittery glitzy finish!
