May Arts Ribbon Blog

I’ve got some fun cards to share today! I love experimenting with Core’dinations products! The quality is so great & the results so unique!

First up- a rather masculine card!

I used the fabulous Kraft Core (be still my heart!) with a wood grain impression plate. I added it to a kraft card base along with some patterned paper circles, and May Arts champagne twill. (Isn’t it a great match for kraft?)

A stamped sentiment, inked edges & machine stitching finish it off!

This next one is quite a bit more feminine!

I used the kraft core again, but this time a damask impression plate.

Doesn’t that new May Arts bee printed ribbon look great? A couple of pretty pins add the final touch!

Now for a fun birthday card!

I used the Ebony & Ivory paper with an embossing folder. The textured two-toned ribbon seemed just right with the purple showing through after sanding!

I used burlap string to tie on a little sentiment tag.

And last up is another birthday card!

This one uses the kraft core and the amazing Glitter Silk! (I adore glitter- and this glitter paper makes me so happy!) That wood grain impression plate was put to work again! This time I added some of the new wider cotton stripes, and tied on a green button with burlap string. (The ‘13’ was cut with my cricut.)

Thank you to Core’dinations for the really fun products to work with! And thank you for your time! I hope you’ve been inspired!

Great combinations of Core cardstock, embossing, and ribbon! I especially love the woodgrain embossed card. It's often more of a challenge for me to make a masculine card, but this is so simple and good-looking too! TFS!

You've made some wonderful cards!  I love working with Core'dinations products, they are such fun to experiment with!   I love that you stamped on the ribbon on that one card, I love doing that and have done it often for titles and journalling on scrapbook layouts.
You've done a great job matching up ribbons for your cards!

I've bookmarked this page to come back to again and again for super yummy ideas.  I am loving the kraft core papers.  Why did I pass up that woodgrain embossing folder when I saw it in the store.  It makes amazing backgrounds.  The ribbon, of course, makes each card PERFECT!

I didn't know that they have woodgrain embossed paper! I don't have an embossing machine, and have been wanting woodgrain embossed paper. OH YEA!!!! These are just wonderful cards that you are showing. I'm into camping, and tend to make a lot of outdoorsy cards, so the woodgrain paper will be great.

I'm sorry if I got your hopes up- I used the PTI woodgrain embossing plate for the woodgrain on my cards!

Oh my goodness Jen!  What a treat you have shared with us today!  These cards are all fabulous!  I love the wood grain embossing with the Kraft core – now that I think about it that seems like an obvious choice, but I probably would never have thought of it on my own!  LOVE the damask card – very elegant and yet simple to create – gotta love that!  I have added all of these to my inspiration file, hope you don't mind!
