Welcome back to the May Arts Blog! It’s time to start thinking about Valentine’s Day and in this house, that translates into something chocolate!
Do I have your attention now?
I’ve been making this super easy and oh so good, dessert as a Valentine treat, for several years. I can’t remember exactly where I found the recipe, but once you try it, you’ll never forget how good it is. I got to thinking that it might also make a wonderful gift to share with anyone who deserves a special “Thank You”
May Arts Ribbons make it easy to take this decadent treat to gift level in no time. Instead of baking in a ramekin as the recipe suggests, I decided to see if I could bake them in some 8 ounce canning jars.
It worked perfectly! The outside is crisp and crackly while the inside is warm and gooey. Pure Bliss!
I dressed up some medium sized Kraft bags (smaller than the lunch size) with some beautiful May Arts Grosgrain and die cut hearts then tied on a spoon with May Arts Sheer Dots ribbon.
May Arts Satin Hearts, 371 series, decorate the jar lid along with a few more die cut hearts.
Thanks to May Arts Ribbon it takes only minutes to take a simple dessert to a heart-warming gift of love. I think this would make a lovely treat for a special teacher, a neighbor who needs cheering, the mail person or a favorite boss or co-worker.
For serving as a decadent dessert for your family and friends, the recipe can be prepared in minutes then popped into the oven to bake while you eat dinner. It’s ready to serve in only 20 minutes of oven time. You can find a printable/downloadable copy of the recipe HERE.
