Hi everyone! This is Chrissy here and I am so excited to bring you my very first post and project as a Prima Ribbonista. I decided the best approach for me in taking on this new role is just jump on in and go for it. So without further delay, here is my project I made.
I was able to work with some lovely stamps from Our Craft Lounge. I was a little bit intimidated at first because stamping is not my forte and is definitely a step outside my comfort zone. With that in mind, I kept my project pretty simple. I made a cute little “thank you” card.
I am one who loves to mix and match color. You’ll see a lot of that in my projects. I knew that I wanted to use that lovely blue and ivory striped grosgrain. I love how a wide ribbon makes such wonderfully cute little bows.
To make the bow, I just made two loops and tied them around each other instead of tying a bow in the traditional method.
For accenting, I used some green velvet trim and some glass beads I had in my stash. The blue, earthy green, and colors of the beads work so beautifully together. The pattern on the beads also help to balance out the busyness of the bow on the top. To keep my color palette unified, I added some splatter using Tattered Angels glimmer mist in “Sunflower”. Finally, to keep my sentiment from getting lost in all the color and patterns, a simple little highlight on the bird helps it to stand out as well as keep it balanced.

I hope you find my card as cute as I do and I can’t wait to share more projects with you!
Cheers!
Chrissy
