Hello ribbon lovers! It’s Sandy here with a home decor project this time.
I was in an antique shop last fall and saw the most beautiful bottles wrapped in heavy duty jute – and stamped! And I just knew I had to figure out how to replicate one – or a few!
An important tip I can’t emphasize enough: if you plan on stamping on the bottle after you’ve got it beautifully wrapped, choose as flat a bottle as possible the first time. It takes a bit of a touch to get the feel down, and once you mess up – well, you get to start the wrapping all over again! The Perrier bottle I showed at the end was a near-disaster — there was so much roundness to the surface that I missed stamping entire sections, so I had to go back with a marker and redraw the missing parts. Ooops
Has this inspired you to consider altering an item in your home? A soap dispenser, a lamp, I can picture so many items in my house getting all wrapped up in Twisted Burlap soon! What might you try? Leave me a comment!

Oh yummy idea n wow on the twisted cord have to have
I can't wait to try this tehnique, what a great use of the twisted burlap!
This is a great idea and a beautiful project! I can't believe you stamped on it too!
Your project came out really nice. A soft beachy look. Lighthouse was my favorite!
I love this idea. I have some candles that need a bit of extra color. I think I'll lay the jute on some packing tape so I can work on a flat surface. I don't trust myself to stamp on curves.
Another amazing idea combining stamping with May Arts products! Love this as I'm a bottle collector and this would be a nice addition to make some bottles more interesting. TFS!
Interesting idea…looks like fun. I never thought of burlap as a "ribbon" before…always open to new products ans uses.
Uber coolness!!
I think this is a wonderful project–I can see doing this with a theme (baby shower) etc with a quilled flower on a stem …perhaps using those cute lil' wine bottles…very cute I will have to try this–thanks for the inspiration!
Wow, wow, wow! It's so nice that you go before us, get a wonderful idea and then work out the kinks for us! Thank you. Beautiful, and fun, too. ;)
Love this!
Sandy,
This is pure genius! Wouldn't a set of canning jars decorated like this be the cutest embellishment containers in a craft room?
Those are awesome!!
Oh my!!!! How cool is that?!?!? I will sure have to try this technique. Thanks for the video!
