Spring Burlap Canvas

Hello friends! Emily Lanham here with my take on the Spring Craft Challenge!

Whenever I received these yummy ribbons, I immediately started to pair them with one of my new favorite paper collections from Authentique Paper. The colors matched perfectly. Well, all but the fuchsia. As I was digging through my drawer of alterable items, I found a burlap stretched canvas. I decided that since i was going to use this canvas, I wouldn’t really need the natural burlap ribbon either. So that brings me down to 4 (which is what is required for the challenge).

This little quote was the deciding factor for my project. I love it so much that I wanted to make a little home decor piece for my craft room.

I’m a big fan of the woven rosettes and frayed flowers. I add them to almost every project that I make, I just can’t help it! I am also a fan of the leaves, so when I received the new leaves, I figured that I could pair them nicely with the flowers. Instead of leaving them on the vine, I cut them off and  added them as an accent behind the flowers.

Making this canvas was pretty simple once I had everything laid out. I found the perfect placement for everything and then began to glue it down.

I think the flower accents turned out really nicely, I just love the new Faux lightweight canvas ribbon that was used for the bow, it has a really nice texture and it’s a good weight for tying bows.
