Ribbon Trimmed Easter Décor

Easter Basket -  I found an inexpensive, cute little basket that came with some not so cute ribbon tied in a bow. I took out the old and replaced it with MAY ARTS  361 crochet lace and 363 twisted burlap.  I simply knotted the burlap onto the lace and then wove the two around the basket.

Easter Grass – Oooops.  I forgot to buy Easter Grass, no problem.  Just use ribbon!  (365 solid stripes) I kept long lengths of the stripe and added some 1/2 yard strips to mimic blades of grass.

Easter Eggs -  The paper mache egg is very versatile!  For the eggs here I colored all over the eggs with water color pencil and blended in with a paintbrush.  Using double stick tape, I adhered (350 sheer/ruffle edge) a ribbon band around the eggs.  These eggs have a tie-dye look that teens will love to make.  And these eggs won’t spoil!

Love this idea for a different look for an Easter basket. I never seem to have the grass so ribbon is a great alternative. I’m going to try this.

What a sweet little basket. I love your grass — so clever!
