Retro Polaroid Mini Album

I’m a bit obsessed with Polaroids these days, so when I had the chance to choose a stamp set from Lawn Fawn I immediately fell in love with the adorable Say Cheese ensemble! These stamps have such a fun retro vibe, so I thought a mini album using papers from the Bright Side Petite Paper Pack would be just the ticket! Add some May Arts sheer ribbon for the binding and you have a stylish way to capture your memories.

I loved the idea of patterned Polaroid-style frames, so I used Ranger’s Jet Black Archival Ink to stamp on pretty lilac and teal papers from the Petite Paper Pack. Cut the frames out, being careful to leave the outer black line. Cute photos of my daughter Megan, sporting her retro-style glasses, were given an old school vibe using the Polaroid Film effect at PicMonkey. I sized the pictures to fit inside the stamped frame, cut them out, and glued them down for instant Polaroid flair!

{To make the mini album}

Choose 12 papers from the Petite Paper Pack, and cut them to 5” X 4”

Glue 2 papers back to back to create a cover and 5 album pages

Score each page at 1” vertically along the left of each paper to allow for ease of opening.

Punch 2 holes on the left side of each page about ½” from the top and ½”   from the bottom.

Use the sheer/wired May Arts ribbon {JN02} to bind the pages together as shown.

To make the cover embellishment I used the Polaroid Frame and the Polaroid effect at PicMonkey along with the Schoolbell and Bangers fonts printed onto Ranger’s Glossy Cardstock. Print and cut the photo and then back it with a piece of patterned paper and attach it to the front cover. Embellish with a handmade flower.

Embellish the pages with stamped sentiments, a stamped and colorized camera, and handmade flowers.

The flowers are simply 1’ circles punched out of the scraps left over from making the photos. Crumple and stack 5 of the circles for each flower, staple in the center, and then top with a stamped and colorized smiley face. Attach them with foam dots for added dimension.

I hope you have fun making your own Retro-Style Mini Album! Happy crafting to all!
