Chargrilled steak has to be my all time favourite & the strangest thing I've barbecued: bananas. Not really very strange but the first time I served these blacken morsels I received a few strange glances from my friends :)

My fave thing to grill is asparagus with a little olive oil and sea salt – yummm!  The strangest thing I've ever put on the grill was wild rice with cream of mushroom soup – our stove was out!

I have a special recipe for hamburgers that everyone loves and it is my favorite food to grill – and of course it has to be charcoal to add that special flavor! Can't think of anything strange that I've grilled other than trying the beer can chicken recipe floating around.

My husband is in charge of the grilling, and although his favorite food to grill is steak, I LOVE grilled corn-on-the-cob! We're not too adventurous when it comes to the grill, so we may always grill the same types of food, but my husband has it down to an art! :)

My favorite food to BBQ is steak, mainly because I don't like steak cooked any other way.  It just doesn't taste the same if it isn't cooked over the BBQ somehow.

The strangest food I have ever BBQ'd is clams.  I learned this from my Dad, you make a foil packet with the clams, butter, lemon, etc. . . And cook them until they are steamed and opened.  They are delicious!  Of course we always used fresh clams we had caught or bought that day!

  36. May 26, 2012

I have a saying about bbq, if you can cook it, you can grill it.  In the summer, I grill more days than not.  That being said I'd say my favorite food to do on the grill would be chicken.  We have a local company, Chiavetta's, that has the best marinade/sauce ever and I love to do chicken with it.  Sooooooo tasty.  As for strange things to do on the grill, I guess that would have to be pizza.  Haven't done it in years, but we used to get little frozen pizzas and do them on the grill.  Maybe I'll have to do that again soon.  Thanks for the chance to win.
