The inspiration from this project came from a similar leaf headband I saw online, but that one was was made with cheap fake leaves and cost $20. Enter an idea and the beautiful faux suede ribbon to the rescue!

You will need:
- May Arts Ribbon – XL16
- scissors
- sewing machine
- adhesive
- felt
- headband
First, sew a continuous line on your leaf ribbon. I used grey thread and 11 leaves.

Here you have a nice little leaf pile. Cut them apart.

Cut a piece of felt in a tear drop shape.

Glue your leaves, overlapping a bit to hide the felt.

Once you are satisfied with the leaf placement turn it over and add a smaller felt pice to the back, only gluing the longer sides. Leave the shorter sides detached for headband placement.

Slide in the headband of your choice. What I love about not making the headband permanently attached to the leaf cluster is that you can change it out to coordinate with whatever you are wearing.

Here it is all ready for wearing!

And might I add how difficult it is to take a picture of your head while holding the camera yourself?
But it gives you an idea (and a look into my messing crafting room!).

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial! So many ways to make it uniquely yours, and without spending $20!
Have a beautiful day!
