It’s cold….  Here’s a great gift idea to help warm someone up.  The perfect present for someone, homemade hot cocoa mix, candy canes dipped in chocolate with sprinkles (perfect for putting into your hot cocoa) and a chocolate bar.  Here are a few tips on how create this fun looking basket.

To start I took some 1.5" Ivory Striped Grosgrain and used the Bowdabra to make a large bow.  I wrapped the center with satin pleats and then wrapped the extra edges around the top handle of the basket.

Next up tag a cellophane bag (with yummy chocolate dipped candy canes with sprinkles) and tie the end with the Ivory Striped Grosgrain.  Create a tag out of linen paper and stamp and emboss “for you” circle.  Die cut extra circle and assemble tag, using natural burlap string to tie to bag.

Next up decorate a chocolate bar, what goodie basket is complete without something sweet?  I stamped the Mat Stack framed onto Bella Blvd paper and then die cut out a large frame from Coredinations Tim Holtz card stock.  I added a 3" strip of Velvet Corduroy as an accent on the label.  To wrap the candy bar I took a 4" by 8" piece of the same Bella Bvld paper, wrapped it around the bar and then added the corduroy ribbon to the top and bottom of the chocolate bar.  The hot cocoa mix is packaged in a celephone bag and tied up with Organic Cotton Stipes and natural burlap string.
