Little Monster Layout- Monsters & Striped Patterned Paper; Flowers – Bo Bunny // Bling & Pearl Brads, Alphabets, Cardstock & Patterned Paper: American Crafts

For this layout, the pumpkin die cut ribbon was adhered behind the photo mat to create a scalloped semi-border. The black & white polka dot organza was formed into a quick and easy hair bow for the little monster. Instead of the knot, a bling brad holds it together. I pried apart the prongs to create a small opening at the base of the brad, then slipped my ribbon through the opening to form two sets of loops on either side of the brad. Since there was no knot formed, I was able to maneuver the loops to my liking after the brad was in place.

For this altered gift box, I modge-podged a recycled embellishment container, then adhered the pumpkin shaped ribbon to the inside top of the box to create an all-season scallop affect. I adhered the black grosgrain ribbon with hot glue to hold the pleats, then added a few of the ribbon ghosts to top it all off. The inside gift bag was tied with the orange & black polka dot satin and black cutout ribbons.

Wow!  Wish we could have posted all of the fabulous projects this next lady sent to us.  Here are a just few, sent to us by Lynn Ochs:

May Arts Candle:  An already purchased candle holder was transformed using rubber stamps (JustRite), Spellbinders cat cutout, and finished with a bow made perfect by using May Arts Ribbon.

May Arts Ribbon Card – Background paper was created by laying pieces of ribbon side by side.  Then Spellbinders pumpkin and witch shapes were used to finish the focal point.  The pumpkin was bumped using an embossing folder from Cuttlebug and Distress Ink was used to soften the edges.

May Arts Counting Book:  Ten pages; each with a counting sentence “I see ______ pumpkins”.  From 1 to 10 each page showcases a number of pumpkins (ribbon) for the young child to count.

Photo #1 shows a Halloween treat bag made out of of an envelope, tied closed with a ribbon and cute Halloween tag.

Photo #2 shows my Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) ready for my monthly swap. This month's theme was 'fonts and alphabets' but I wanted to put a Halloween slant on it also since it's one of my favorite times of the year. I had fun embellishing them with the satin cutout ghosts, bats, and pumpkins!

Photo #3 shows a close up shot of the ATC.

Photo #4 card is made with a purchased glittered die cut, embellished with satin cutout bats and the ribbons. Fun and easy!

Photo #5 is a fun card featuring some satin cutout ghosts that like to frolic in the woods…. A small slit along the tree trunk allows me to slip a bit of the ghost behind the tree. "

"For Halloween, I made a BOO! banner for my tabletop, using EX01, EX10, EX25, MD28, KB 38, and JD 10 ribbons and trims from May Arts. I used recylced cardboard for the base of the project, then added Halloween-themed papers, embellishments, flowers, and vintage images.
The ribbons and trims really added an extra-special touch to give my banner a cute, nostalgic feel."

diecut cream cardstock using scalloped long rectangle die and ink edges with distress ink. cut pp using plain long rectangle die and adhere to scalloped piece. adhere short length of pumpkins to bottom and ghosts and bat to tag as shown. punch hole in top, thread gingham ribbon through and tie around bag handle. tie short lengths of orange, sheer dotted & gingham ribbon around other side of bag handle.

This Halloween frame was sent to us by Jennie Posthumus:

"A Halloween Picture frame that's easy to do! I used a large 7"x7" ceramic tile I had for another project. They can be bought fairly cheaply at Home Depot, Lowes, or any other hardware store that sells ceramic flooring tiles.
I carefully hot glued the bats and pumpkins so the picture could slide inside them (used a 4×6, but it could be easily adapted for a 5×7").
To glue the bats, just put glue on the top of the heads, for the pumpkins, along the bottom. The picture will slide in perfectly. Either pumpkins or bats could be substitued for ghosts.
Then, I added the angled ribbon, using hot glue. The same with the hanger.
Since I didn't have any scrap book stickers for halloween (or any other stickers, since it's not usually possible to keep them out of the kids' hands), I wrote in "Happy Halloween".
A quick, easy, and fun project. It took less than thirty minutes to glue it all together, including drying time for the hot glue. It would be a great present for anyone!"

• Gable box: This is simply covered with Cloud 9 Seasonal printed paper, edged with Colorbox Charcoal ink, “boo” cut on the Cricut and embossed with the cuttlebug folder and accented with Colorbox inks, tangerine, lime pastel and wisteria. Accented with ribbon: KB38, EX01, JD10, and MD28. I used the bow easy to make the bow.

 

• Witch card: A2 card, base is purple Bazzil cardstock, printed paper is Cloud 9 Seasonal, tone on the edge and  little ghost (EX01) to accent (tucked under the paper) (EX01), witch was cut using the Little Monsters Cricut cartridge and embellished with the Pumpkin(EX28) and bat ribbon(ex10), and stickles. I sewed the edges on the machine, stamped words are Inkadinkado

• Mummy Can: I recycled a tin can, wrapped with gauze, glued jumbo googlie eyes and used the bat ribbon (EX10) for her eyebrows, a small piece of ribbon (KB38) is tied in a piece to look like a ponytail.

 

• Splat card: A2 size card, splatted with paint daubers and water, Inkadinkado stamp and accented with bat ribbon (EX10)

• Candy Can: I recycled this can and covered it with Cloud 9 Seasonal paper. Used a Martha Stewart web border punch and black cardstock for the top rim, bat ribbon (EX10) along the bottom. There is ribbon (JD10)wrapped around the handle, one little ghost(EX01) glued on the top and finished off with the black pot-a-dot ribbon (MD28)
