Fly Frame with Burlap String

Day 4 of May Arts / Stampendous Blog Week!

Fly Frame with Burlap String

This large flower stamp from Stampendous is so awesome! For this project, I stamped the flower stamp on several pieces of patterned paper. Then, I cut them down in different sizes and then layered them. For the Burlap string, I used a large sewing needle (a leather needle) and weaved it in the burlap. This is burlap I got at the hardware store and it was leftover from doing some yard work! I just love texture and I instantly knew that I wanted to do a fun, home decor item. When I saw these Stampendous stamps…I instantly thought of this project. Add some of your favorite embellishments and you have a great piece. This would look great with shells you pick up at the beach this summer!
