Cupcake Kits {and a giveaway}

Welcome to the May Arts/Our Craft Lounge Blog Week!  Get ready for a week of fun creations that are sure to spark your imaginations.

I got to play with the fun OCL set called Hot Betty.  I had to giggle when I saw the fun sentiments.   I immediately knew I wanted to use fun colors.   May Arts 3/4” Chevron Striped Ribbons and soft red & white Twisted Rope were just perfect for this project.

Now, I have a confession to make… I have NEVER called my husband of 43 years, “Stud Muffin” !  He actually blushed when I asked him if he liked that term of endearment.  Heehee!  I think, however, that after I baked him some awesome French Breakfast Puffs, he rather liked the idea!  You can find the printable recipe that I adapted from The Pioneer Woman at the link.

Oh My!!

OCL and May Arts made it easy to elevate this muffin to gift category.  I used double sided tape to apply May Arts Twill Striped ribbon the cupcake carrier.

Cute, right?

 I stamped the Hot Betty image onto a Bazzill Basics white tag then colored her with Copic markers to match my May Arts Ribbon.

The sentiments and toaster images were stamped onto a scrap piece of cardstock and then I cut the notched end with scissors.  Ribbon scraps stapled to the tag end ties in the colors In Betty’s outfit.  Don’t you just love that cute little toaster?

I stamped the cupcake/muffin, colored the base then cut it out.  A bit of OCL Brown Sugar Sparkly Fluff makes it look just like the sugared muffins!

Thanks May Arts Ribbon and Our Craft Lounge for putting a bit of fun sizzle in our vocabulary!

The Ribbon Lady has said that I can give you a chance to create your own little Stud Muffin treat.  Just leave us a comment and tell us your favorite May Arts Ribbon and who your favorite ”Stud Muffin” is!  I’ll send 2 winners an acrylic bag/cupcake carrier along with some May Arts Ribbon!

    Wow, what an adorable idea!! Love your new Chevron twill, especially the blue and red as you have shown off here! Brilliant work! My favourite Stud Muffin is my husband, Gord, who is also a UPS driver.  He makes a lot of women happy when he shows up at their door with a "craft" delivery of some sort. (When the husbands answer, they just sigh! LOL)
