I don’t know how to sew with a sewing machine, but I do use a needle and thread to make all sizes of flowers out of your ribbon. Then it goes onto my project. Maybe one day I will learn how to sew…
I don’t do ‘sewing projects’ as such, but I do know I can’t do a scrapbook layout these days without getting out my sewing machine. And I always love to adhere my ribbon to my page by sewing it on. That way I don’t have any fear of it coming unstuck, especially if I want to ruffle or fold or bend my ribbon in some way.
Here’s a very recent layout I did using ribbon which I’ve sewed on.

and here’s another layout where I’ve sewn my ribbon on (lace in this case – does that still count?!!)
