I like using May Arts twine in black or brown wrapped several times around the package- I have some great paper that looks like an antique map this looks great with- but even plain brown wrapping paper looks rugged with that black twine wrapped around it!

I would use a host of things , its depends on the person (here are some):
Fancy Event – I would make a bow tie from Silk Ribbon.
Any Other Event – I would make a tie from different color Satin Ribbons.
Hobbies/Interest – Any netural plain color ribbon (blue, gray, black, brown, beige, etc), don’t tie a bow just knot it and use a small item(s) from that hobby/interest and attach it to the ribbon.
Others – Any netural plain color ribbon, don’t tie a bow just knot it and use a favorite or special picture(s) around the top.

I usually use twine or hemp for a masculine card or gift. I have also used lots of twill ribbon or grosgrain ribbon (no silk nor satin) and I just tie these in a knot. Bows are a wee bit too frilly for the men in my life. LOL

I find you can use any ribbon that is not pink or lacey – just don’t do a bow – use knots, multiple rows lined up, or an embellishment based on an award ribbon. Geometric patterns and plain papers are masculine.

i LOVE USING THE ANIMAL PRINTS FOR WRAPPING A GIFT FOR A GUY-ALSO THE DARK COLORFUL COLORS. a NICE WRAPPED PACKAGE LETS THEM KNOW HOW MUCH THOUGHT YOU PUT INTO IT AND HOW MUCH YOU CARE FOR HIM. a GIFT IN THE BAG TELLS THEM- YOU DON’T HAVE ANY TIME TO SPEND ON HIM AND DON’T CARE.

I tend to use twine with a guy’s gift…even using the it on plain brown shipping paper the tone-on-tone effect is great!

The simpler ribbons in more muted colors are my choice for men’s gifts. The twine and twill ribbons are great for a more masculine look too. Just nothing too fluffy or frilly. :)

Love using the darker colored ribbons, a touch of jute, to mak the look a tas more masculine, I also like to add a tag. Here is an example.

I love all your ribbon and the two ribbons that you have posted are perfect for not just the men in our lives but women also. It has a softness to it for us women yet the colors make it possible to use on our men. Once again you have chosen two gorgeous ribbons to use. .
