The textured two-tone ribbon is my all time favorite. Thanks for the chance to win.
The net – hands down – in the perfect 1-1/2 inch width. Of course my runner up would be the faux suede with the ruffled edges. Thanks for the great contests!

I love the silks! I probably use brown, white, or ivory on most of my projects.
My favorite series would have to be the Solid/Checks. I uses them alot in different projects. I love the black and white I think the most.
As the buyer of ribbon for our store, I must say that I absolutely love ordering your gorgeous ribbons! It’s like being a kid in a candy shop!
I’d have to say my fav ribbons would be the 3/8″ Velvet Woven — I’d LOVE every color, but hope to get pink (already have red & black) for Valentine’s day cards this year!!!
Pretty hard to narrow it down to one favorite, as they are all scrumptious, but I have to pick the pom-pom edge ribbon. I love all the color combinations it comes in, and those tiny pom-poms are too fuzzy and cute for words! They add a great texture to a project.

Who could pick one?!?!? Here’s my current favorite: Grosgrain/Center Polka Dot Band. LOVE this ribbon and want it in every color combination! I also love the Grosgrain Horizontal Lines … and I’d LOVE to try the Faux Leaves ribbon!
Thanks so much for the chance to win some May Arts Ribbon!
Happy 2010!
It was easy. Wth Valentine’s Day coming up I would choose the Pink Faux Suede NV17 in the 5/8″. It looks beautiful on patterned paper and gives the look of romance.
Picking one is certainly not easy but at this very moment I am in love with KN19 (mauve). The two-tone effect is a perfect combination of subtle and sophisticated – just gorgeous! We carry this lovely ribbon in our store and I often find myself gazing at it imagining how I might use it in a project.
I LOVE the leaves. I’m a mixed media/fabric collage artist and use them everywhere!
My absolute favorite ribbon is XA33. Brown witht he pink Pom-Pom Trim. Not only is it my favorite May Arts Ribbon…it is my Favorite ribbon in our collection!!!
I absolutely love May Arts ribbon of all kinds! But my favorite has to be any of the KA variety. The shimmer and two-tone is soooo pretty and inspires so many projects! Thanks for the chance to win!
I love all of your ribbon, but my favourite is your pink leaves….simply stunning!
I love all of the may arts ribbons, but favorite is sheer white polka dot.
I love all of the may arts ribbons, but
favorite is sheer white polka dot.
i have to say that my go-to ribbon is white in all of it’s glorious forms. rick-rack, satin, sheer, grosgrain, novelty (like the little pom-poms), etc. it goes with almost everything. also, it can be dyed, rubber stamped or sprayed with glimmer mist.
I love the black sheer ribbon with white glitter dots! It’s too hard to pick…
I’m such a sucker for snowflakes – so I’d have to go with the silver cut-out snowflakes…. (I love reading what others have chosen – what a fun contest!!)
A haiku about my favorite May Arts ribbon, Faux Suede Leaf in Green:
pretty green suede leaf
a perfect embellishment
fresh and oh-so-chic
I have a thing for ribbon, especially May Arts ! My all time favorite is the EA ribbon. I have used the red 1.5 ” in a wedding and our Christmas cards, the fuschia 1.5″ on black for packaging, and the white and black (in both widths) for everyday use. Everything looks better with a ribbon tied around it. I love how it is thin enough to go through a regular hole-punched hole, yet is substantial enough to make a full, beautiful bow. I adore the sheen, texture, and weight of it.
The webbed 1.5″ webbed ribbons are my current favorite of many favorites. The webbed ribbons just add so much more texture to any design piece. My favorite color is the olive green. It is a great ribbon to work throughout a piece and make it become part of the texture and structure of the arrangement as well as making a great bow. If you have worked with it, you should try it, you’ll like it too.
I love the white grosgrain and white satin ribbons. I can color them easily with my Copic markers/inks to make the perfectly matched embellishment for my cards.
The crochet ribbon is hard to beat. Works so well with vintage cards…and most any other style!
My super practical side has to say the Ivory Burlap String is my favorite! It good for so many things!

I LOVE the faux suede with the ruffled edges. That ribbon is not only pretty, but so easy to work with and it add a great texture to projects. Good luck to everyone!
Dear Santa…I want them all!
Having said that and being forced to pick just one, I have to say I’m in love with your Sheer ribbon. It is fluid and elegant and can be used for so many things. I love to use it on scrapbook pages, on cards, on wall decor and greeting cards. I love to combine two colors on cards I make and combine two or three colors on packages I wrap. It wraps whatever in elegance and for such a good price! Thanks for promoting this contest to help make people more aware of your products.
My favorite ribbon is the Ric-Rac – love this stuff!
Only one??? Oy oy oy….. I love your sheer white polka dots, your 3/8″ chocolate satin, the ginghams, all of the twines, all of your wide silk ribbons…..
Suffice it to say I love all of your ribbons, and I wish I had a spool of every single one of them here in my studio. As for the one that I use the most, that would have to be the chocolate/dark brown 5/8″ sheer organdy ribbon. Love love love that size and that yummy chocolate color and how the sheer-ness doesn’t overwhelm a card.
I love the silk ribbons the best! They are very soft and easy to work with!
I have used the horizontal stripes grosgrain and love it! But right now, since ruffles are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE thing in the world right now, I love the Satin Center Ruffle ribbon. I have also seen my sister use the leaves ribbon in FABULOUS ways and think that’s a favorite too.
I love all different ribbon but, I really love any kind of white ribbon! Especially white sheer ribbon. Love being able to add color to the white to coordinate it with any project, or just leave it white. I love that it is see through so I can see what is underneath it, kind of like a peak-a-boo ribbon. Love if it is wired so I can maneuver it any way I need it for my particular project. White goes with anything!
So many beautiful options to choose from! I find myself using grosgrain polka dot ribbon or chenille pom pom ribbons more often than others. So simple, but they’re just the right touch for many of my projects!
It has been said that “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”, but for me, it is PEARLS! I have found remarkable uses for the May Arts Pearl wire/ribbon. I have wrapped it around anything and everything from the neck of a decorative bottle to light fixtures, candlesticks, & gifted wine bottles. My favorite project over the holiday was wrapping curly willow branches with pearls. It was astounding! Will try to post photo.
Merlyn,
If you send the photo to sales@mayarts.com, I will gladly post it! I’m sure everyone would be happy to see it.
Thank you!
Thanks! Will do!
I love the 1.5 inch silks – great for wearables and cards – black is great for neck pendants, but also love red, light blue, celery. I also like using the silks on cards as they are so pliable and pretty.
Wow, this is hard to only be able to pick one! I love your selection, and the fabulous range of colors for us to choose from. I guess my favorite is the Olive Leaves Ribbon. I can use it for just about every altered art project. Placing flowers along the way looks amazing with the Leaf Ribbon. If you haven’t played with this ribbon, I suggest you try some. You’ll love it too!
Smiles,
Lisa
My first choice, without a thought, is your leaves ribbon. I have used three full spools of this ribbon in the olive green and in white. It is the perfect ribbon for layering on top of any other ribbon or fabric. I use it on gifts, with a grosgrain to tie a bow around fresh vegetables for neighbors. I used it as the perfect embellishment for my baby’s birth announcements, and it’s even on my favorite necklace. To me, it truly is a ribbon for ALL occasions.
