Christmas Ribbon Tree

Not a Creature was Stirring…

(except one little mouse!)

Welcome back to the May Arts Blog!  The Design Team is in a holiday state of mind so there will be lots of projects that we hope will inspire you to decorate every room of your home …..in ribbon!

I’ve created a little tree that would be perfect in the room of a little princess.   It’s just the right size to place on a dresser or nightstand.

Supply List

To decorate the tree, simply fold the ribbon in two and beginning at the base, pin the ribbons close together in a circular pattern around the cone until you reach the top.  After placing all of the pink and green ribbons, go back in and insert the May Arts Metallic Velvet Silver and White ribbon to add sparkle and shine throughout.    Pin ribbon streamers and  rings to top of the cone using pearl head pins.

Wrap the empty spool with May Arts Pink Silk ribbon.  Secure with Glue dots.    If desired, glue a piece of pink cardstock to the base of the tree to cover the spool label.  Hot glue the tree to the ribbon base.

Standing watch for Santa is a little Christmas mouse that I crafted from wool felt and dressed warmly in a scrap of May Arts Grosgrain Stripe ribbon.

He’s keeping watch for Santa.  He has promised to wake the princess when Santa arrives.  Shhhhh…..don’t tell.

Thanks for joining us on the May Arts Blog!

I let my 5 y.o. daughter and 7 y.o. son make ribbon trees a couple of weeks ago. We used Styrofoam and straight pins. It is a great project for kids!
