Cards – Love Life & You’re a Vision

Hi Everyone! Today I have a couple cards for you using some Lawn Fawn Stamps, Helmar Adhesives and May Arts Suede String and Solid Plaid Ribbon. This stamp set is TOO much fun!   Here is a close up of what we are making first.
I am going to show you step by step directions on how to make the cute little toothpick flag.
First cut a 4″ piece of the Solid Plaid Ribbon. Add Helmar Quick Dry adhesive to the one end of the string and put the toothpick on it.  It may look like I am working upside down but that is because we are working back to front and we will flip it over in the next step.
Now, flip it over and squeeze together so the adhesive dries. Again using the Helmar Quick dry makes this quick and easy!
Next, trim the ribbon and make it look like a little flag.
Now, add a little bow from the Suede String collection and you have a cute little flag!

The last thing is add a sentiment and a cut out stamped image of one of the glasses using Helmar Zap dots.  Embellish and you are done!

Next, get out that Suede String! We are braiding with May Arts Suede String. I think I get excited to braid because I have two boys and never get the chance to braid anything!  Besides your basic supplies, here is what you will need:
The first step is to cut three strips of the Suede String at 5.75″. Personally, I like that  it hangs over the card a bit but you can make yours as long or as short as you would like.
Using your Tiny Attacher or any small stapler, attach the three strings together at one one end.
Now start braiding! If you don’t have three hands you can tape it down to keep it still or ask someone for help.
That is it! Cut, braid and then embellish your card! You have a simple and elegant card for any occasion. I used my Scor It tape to adhere because it is nice and thin so you won’t see it.  Add your Lawn Fawn stamp sentiment from the Fly Free set and you are good to go!
