Everytime I look at my colourful collection of May Arts Ribbons I'm inspired to try something new and different. I've always found that with a litte imagination and a few tools, May Arts Ribbons offer endless possibilities! This month I wanted to share with you a card I created in which I used my May Arts Ribbon to fill a negative die cut space.
I started by creating a card stock panel with the "Peace" sentiment on it – and I die cut it using my Silhouette Cameo – saving the inside of the letters "P" and "A". I added to the greeting by masking a sentiment stamp I had that said "Wishing You Peace, Love & Joy". I stamped the "Wishing You" portion of the sentiment above the die cut "Peace" negative, and then stamped "love & joy" beneath it, each time masking the portion of the sentiment I didn't need. To fill the die cut negative space I affixed a 4 1/2" piece of May Arts Red with Ivory Stripes 1.5" Grosgrain Ribbon (RG14) to the back of the card stock panel so that you could see the gorgeous stripes showing through the die cut letters. I then stuck the center of the letters "P" and "A" directly onto the ribbon. I finished off my card with some die cut holly and berries, filling in the center of the berries with red rhinestones.
