Card using Baker’s Twine

Hey Everyone! This is Mandie from Mandie's Scrappin' and I've got another quick and simple card for you. I was SO excited to see that May Arts now has Baker's Twine! I had to order up a spool in every color.

I wanted to use the Pink and White Bakers Twine (412-17) as a border on my card and didn't want to have a bunch of glue mess trying to make this border so I used a white card base and then took another piece of white cardstock and lightly penciled out my outline shape. Then I cut along that line and a little at a time added a thin bead of clear glue along the the edge and carefully placed the twine along the edge. When it was dry I simply glued it to the front of my card.
I used my Cricut to cut the cherries and added shimmer with Glimmer Mist and the faces are from Peachy Keen Stamps. The little girl cherry had to have a Bakers Twine bow, of course! The "Love you CHERRY much" phrase is from Pink By Design Stamps. I inked the word CHERRY with red and then carefully inked the rest with black. Then I adhered everything to my card, popping up the cherries with some foam dots. I had so much fun playing with my new Bakers Twine, I can't wait to play more!

I love baker's twine, but never thought to use it like this.  Very cute.
