Card – Hay There

Day 3 of May Arts / Lawn Fawn Blog Week!

Today I am going to show you step-by-step instructions on how to make a fun little hay bail out of some May Arts Twisted Burlap and Critters on the Farm Lawn Fawn stamps. Besides your basic supplies, here is what you will need:

First, stamp on some cardstock and then cut out. Tip:  use stazon when you will be using alcohol based inks or glues on the stamped image to keep the ink from smearing.

Next cut up some 1.5" pieces of the May Arts Twisted Burlap and pull them apart. Since it is "twisted burlap" they will come apart fairly easy. Make sure you make the a bit longer than you think you will need. You can always trim off excess.

Using some Helmar Quick Dry adhesive, start applying the frayed Burlap string.  I would do a few pieces at a time so the adhesive doesn't dry. The good thing about quick dry is that you don't need to hold it there forever!

Now flip it over and adhere to the back. You many need to trim some off, that is okay. You want them longer rather than shorter because they will adhere better.

Now you  have a cute little bail of hay!

Embellish your card with the cow and bell and a that fun little Lawn Fawn sentiment and you are good go. Since the hay bail is kind of bulky, adhere it with some Helmar Zap Dots.
