Best of The Prima Ribbonistas Blog Week – Day 5 {winner and a giveaway}

This has been such a fun week, full of amazing projects!  But it's not over yet.   We still have one more day of The Best of the Prima Ribbonistas Week ahead of us!   If you are just joining in, we are highlighting the work of the May Arts Prima Ribbonistas over the past year.  This is a great chance to review some of the best projects we've had from this team and maybe even find a few you missed the first time around.  So, let's be sure to show these ladies some love as the 2011-2012 design team winds down to an end.

If you missed any of the days this week, be sure to check them out too!

We have 2 very fabulous ladies to celebrate today, so let's get started!

For the best of week I have selected my ribbon ruching technique.  it was a toss up between my ribbon garland or ruching, but the ruching won out!  I learned the technique at a local quilt guild meeting. There we used fabric to create small flowers that could be added to the tops of quilts.  I knew that using ribbon would have lovely results.  Making the rushed ribbon was relaxing and addicting.  I hope you enjoy learning this as much as I did!

I really like these High Heel Shoe 3D Cards because they are a perfect project for daughters, Moms and girlfriends! I love everything about these cards – The gathered ribbon flowers, the Webbed Weaved Ribbon that is attached to the sole of the high heel shoe, and the Double Faced Satin String on the side trimming.

These Ribbon Art Canvases were my very first project for MayArts as one of their official DT Members. This project showcased my love of 3D projects.

This Kanzashi Heart Wreath project was what sealed my position as one of the official May Arts Design team Ribbonistas. The combination of colorful ribbons and fabric folding/manipulations makes this project very unique and beautiful.
