Make Your Own Bee Hair Clips

I’ve got a really fun way to embellish those ribbon covered clips & turn them into flying bees!

There’s a tutorial on covering your clips here. The first thing I did was cover my clip with yellow satin. Then I got out my black burlap string!

I wrapped it several times in 2 spots & hot glued in place.

For my wings I used close to 6” of 1” sheer/tinsel edge ribbon, folded so there is 3 layers.

If you don’t have extra hands, you can use a clip to hold the ends in place!

That makes it much easier to tie the burlap string around the center!

Next you’ll hot glue the wings in place, and if you’re inclined, add some burlap antennae!

These were inspired by this cute dress I’d found & wanted to make matching hair clips!

And since it was a gift, I made a fun tag using Lawn Fawn paper! I embellished it with some solid/wrinkle ribbon, ric rac, more sheer/tinsel edge & some olive burlap string!

Pretty cute, don’t you think?!  🙂

Thanks for your time today! I hope you’ve been inspired!
