For this tutorial, I am showing you how to create an award ribbon that could be used to celebrate a myriad of occasions. Whether you are celebrating a birthday, Mother’s Day, or a special friend, everyone needs an award ribbon once in their life.

supplies

• May Arts Ribbon

– 2 yds – 1.25" tan silk (SK35)
– 1 yd – 1" white grosgrain loop (FR09)
– 1 yd – 1/2" pink solid/wrinkled (EA22)

• 4 – 3" white card stock circles

• pencil

• scalloped scissors

• low-temp glue gun

• pin back

• glue pen

• stamp set and stamp pad

• glitter

• Imaginisce ribbon cutter

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 – Begin with one card stock circle and draw with pencil a smaller circle in the center. Using hot glue, adhere your tan silk to the center of the card and start folding ribbon back and forth and gluing in place. Use the smaller drawn circle as a guide for the length of your loops. Travel around the entire circle and glue finishing the end in the center of circle.

Step 2 – Draw the same inner circle on the next piece of card stock and hot glue in place on top of tan silk circle. Repeat step one with pink ribbon.

Step 3 – Draw the same inner circle on the next piece of card stock and hot glue in place on top of tan silk circle. Repeat step one with pink ribbon.

Step 4 – Using your scissors, scallop the edge of your third circle.

Step 5 – Stamp your award ribbon message on the front. Decorate the remaining parts of the circle with your glue pen and glitter.

Step 6 – Glue this circle to the center of the 2 other circles and press in place.

Step 7 – Fold your white grosgrain ribbon in half and use your Imaginisce ribbon cutter to cut and seal a "V" into the ends of the ribbon.

Step 8 – Glue white ribbon tails to the back of your first circle and cover with remaining card stock circle. glue a metal pin back to the backside of your finished award ribbon and you are ready to gift it.
