There is something about a crafty handmade calendar that can brighten your day. The options I am going to show you are reproducible, inexpensive, and simple to make.

For one type of calender I went to Kwernerdesign.com and purchased a downloadable calendar template, printed the pages on white cardstock, embellished with May Arts ribbon, then displayed on a CD case.

Using white thread I sewed strips of ribbon to make a border. Ribbons used are solid/iridescent BS series.

One small piece of the sheer ribbon can really make a statement. QT sheer/butterflies/wired and TZ flowers/pearl center/wired.
.

For a masculine calendar I went with the brown and turquoise color scheme. I used a WK grosgrain stripe in turquoise and brown and TS solid stitched center in light brown.

.
Many free templates are available and I used one from Mycalendarmaker.com for the next project.

I printed the yearly calendar onto patterned cardstock, and trimmed the edges.

Then matted the calender on coordinating paper, added ribbon borders and a paper flower.
Ribbons used: NPblack crochet, EX flower satin cutouts, QA black and champagne embroidery/satin.
Happy 2010 from May Arts!
